Oyster farming on the coast of Ireland
Over the course of five days, our Boston video production team lived alongside the Harty family in the coastal village of Dungarvan, Ireland, documenting the daily lives of this multigenerational family of oyster farmers. We began our days before daybreak, joining the Harty brothers and their crews on the amphibious tractors they used for their harvest. We filmed in between rain showers. Our breakfast was fresh oysters pulled directly from sea. In the evenings we accompanied the family and their friends to the local pubs, where we would stay until late. We greatly enjoyed having the unique opportunity to share in the Harty family's experiences, and help tell their stories.
